Booking rules

Effective from October 15, 2026

This document is a template prepared for Stayin and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be reviewed and completed before the service is opened to the public.

How reservations, payment and cancellation work on Stayin.

1. How you make a reservation

Select a Property and a room, choose your dates and number of guests, pick one of the available options, enter your name and contact details and confirm. You must be signed in. If the nights are still available, the reservation is confirmed at once and you receive a reference that starts with STY-, a confirmation page and an e-mail.

Your reservation is also saved in "My bookings", where you can see all its details.

2. Who you contract with

Your reservation is a contract between you and the Property. Stayin arranges the reservation but is not a party to the contract. Questions about the stay itself are for the Property.

3. Price and what is included

The total is calculated by our system from the nightly prices of your nights and the option you chose, and it is shown before you confirm. It is saved with the reservation and does not change afterwards.

The option states whether breakfast is included. Taxes, local charges and other fees that the Property lists separately are shown for information and may be payable in addition at the Property. Amounts shown in another currency are approximate; you pay in the currency of the Property.

4. Payment

At the moment reservations are paid at the Property, as the Property accepts. Options that require payment in advance are visible but cannot be reserved until online payment is available.

Stayin will never ask you for card details by message or e-mail. If someone does, do not answer and report it to us.

5. Cancelling a reservation

You can cancel in "My bookings" as long as the stay has not begun. The cancellation terms of the option you chose are saved with your reservation and apply as they were when you booked:

  • With free cancellation, you can cancel without charge until the deadline shown on your reservation. We record whether your cancellation was within it.
  • If the option is non-refundable, or you cancel after the free cancellation deadline, the Property may charge as stated in the saved terms.

Because payment is made at the Property, any amount owed is settled with the Property. Please also tell the Property if you cannot arrive.

6. Cancellation or change by the Property

If a Property cancels a reservation, it must tell you promptly. You owe nothing for a cancellation by the Property, and the Property should help you find a suitable alternative. Please contact us if this does not happen.

7. Changing a reservation

Reservations cannot be edited on the site. To change dates or the room, contact the Property. Alternatively you can cancel according to the terms and make a new reservation, which is subject to availability and the then current price.

8. Arrival, check-in and no-show

Check-in and check-out times, identity requirements, deposits, house rules and payment methods are set by the Property and shown on its page. If you do not arrive and have not cancelled, the Property may treat the reservation as a no-show and charge as stated in the saved terms.

9. Problems during your stay

Tell the Property at once so that it can put things right. If it does not, write to us through the Contact page; we will try to help, but we cannot oblige the Property to act and we are not liable for its performance.

10. Special requests and accessibility

You can add notes to a reservation. They are requests, not promises, unless the Property confirms them. Ask the Property in a message before you book if something is essential to you, such as step-free access.
