Review policy

Reviews help future guests choose and help Properties improve. To keep them trustworthy, they come only from people who actually stayed.

Only the guest of a confirmed reservation can review it, after the check-out date and within 90 days afterwards, and only once per reservation. A cancelled reservation cannot be reviewed. Reviews are not accepted from visitors or from people without a reservation.

A rating from 1 to 10, an optional headline and text, the month of the stay and the author's first name with the initial of the last name. Reviews are shown as written, in the author's language, and are not translated by us.

The author may edit the review while the 90-day period is open and the review is not hidden. An edited review is marked as edited.

A review must describe the author's own experience and be honest. It must not contain:

• insults, threats, hate speech or discrimination;
• personal data of others, such as names of staff members, telephone numbers or addresses of private persons;
• advertising, links or contact details;
• statements about unrelated matters, or about a Property that the author did not stay at;
• content written in exchange for payment, a discount or any other benefit, or written by or for the Property or a competitor.

The Property may reply once, publicly, and may edit its reply. A reply must be factual and polite and follows the same content rules.

We do not remove a review because it is negative. We hide a review if it breaks these rules or the law. A hidden review no longer counts towards the score and is not shown publicly. Each decision is made by a person, the reason is recorded in our administration log, and a review can be restored. A hidden review cannot be edited by its author.

The score of a Property is the simple average of the ratings of its visible reviews, shown with one decimal, together with the number of reviews. Properties without reviews have no score. Scores are not weighted, bought or adjusted.

If you think a review breaks these rules, write to us through the Contact page, naming the Property and the review. We will assess it and may hide it.
